Winter in Texas …. it’s always changing. Maybe that’s why so many folks are moving down here – they like the ups and downs of the temperature, and we sure have had the cold. Remember, winter is not over so do not put away that warm coat.
“First Thursday” in downtown Buda will be on Feb. 6 – just in time for your Valentine shopping. There will be specials and sweet treats at the many businesses on Main Street, so do come to town.
Salon One 12 is now in the new location at 302 Main Street, #102 at Buda’s Mill & Grain. Rebecca and Mercedes invite all to stop by and check out the new place. The shop is still by appointment only, but as they grow that will change. Watch for a grand opening soon.
A new barbeque place and a new coffee house will be opening their doors within the next few months on Main Street. We will have more to come on this.
The Buda Library plans to have a Valentine Extravaganza on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The day will feature art activities for ages eight through 11 years. Preregister so that you don’t miss out on the fun.
The Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting will take place Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Onion Creek Senior Center in Buda. Be sure to reserve your place.
The Onion Creek Senior Center will host an AARP Driving class on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Please call 512-295-3413 and leave a message to pre-register.
