Chapa Middle School student Zoe Flynn received a Gold Key award at the regional competition of the annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Contest. Zoe won for her ceramic piece, “Woven Dreams.” She also received Honorable Mention for her photograph, “Under the Tree.” Zoe’s work advances to national competition early this summer. Winners at the national competition are exhibited in a Manhattan gallery for a year and national Silver Key honorees’ work is displayed on the national website and other publications.
