San Marcos fire officials are continuing their investigation into a laundry facility fire that threatened nearby residential quarters at the Townwood Apartments on Friday.
Firefighters were dispatched to a blaze at a laundry facility at the Townwood Apartments in San Marcos just before noon on March 14.
Firefighters arrived to the scene at 520 Linda Drive to find the facility completely engulfed in flames. Crews battled the blaze for about 20 minutes before fully extinguishing the fire and prevented its spread to nearby residential units.
City officials said in a statement the fire caused no injuries, but a nearby car was damaged.
Investigators have not identified the cause of the blaze and will continue their investigation into the evening hours.
