Marjorie Coralie Lane, aka Amanda Valdez, 73, passed away in Austin, Texas on Thursday June 12, 2014.
She was the youngest daughter of Robert and Emma Price, born in Jackson Hole Wyoming on Jan. 16, 1941.She married Joe Lane of Roanoke, AL in Seattle 1962, and together with their daughter Rachel traveled America for 20 years with the U.S. Navy. After the death of her beloved Joe in 1997, she moved to Texas to be near her daughter and grandchildren. It was in Austin, 2000, that she met her loving husband, Martin Valdez, and they shared 14 wonderful years together in Kyle, Texas. Marjorie was a painter of beautiful fantasy landscapes, leaving many wonderful memories for her family to enjoy.
She is survived by her beloved Martin Valdez, sister Allison Kohn of Gypsum, Colorado, daughter Rachel Lane Spade, grandchildren Hunter, Bridgit, and Shane, as well as 14 nieces and nephews who love her dearly. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on forever in our hearts.
