On Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 3:35pm the Comal County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a suspicious person in the 100 block of White Oak in The Oaks Subdivision in Canyon Lake, Texas, according to a news release issued by the department. Deputies responded and upon arrival discovered a male victim at the location that was deceased. This case is being investigated as a homicide.
Details about the investigation and the actual cause of death are not being released at this time. The victim is identified as James Carrol Spencer (DOB 09/01/1944) of Canyon Lake. Authorities have obtained arrest warrants for Murder for two (2) suspects identified as Skyler Katherine Burghart, a white female with born on Aug. 9, 1995, and Austin Myles Byrom, a white male born Sept. 12, 1994.
Comal County Sheriff’s deputies are also looking for the victims’ vehicle that was taken by the suspects, according to the release. The vehicle, entered as stolen, is described as a White Lexus 4-door sedan bearing Texas license plate BZW-7242. If anyone sees or locates this vehicle do not confront the occupants and please contact your local law enforcement agency.
This case is still under investigation.
