Gabriel Villalobos, 73, of Kyle, Texas passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 surrounded by his family. Gabriel married Rosie and lovingly raised her four children, Maria, Robert, Roland and Anita (all children of the late Andrew Cantu Jr.)
Gabriel enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling to several states. He was a devout catholic.
Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents, Aniceta and Refugio Villalobos, adopted daughter Liz, and grandson Sammy Robbie Cantu.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie and children Robert Cantu, Maria Vega, Roland Cantu (Helen), Anita Norris (Mark), grandchildren Andrea Serrato, Monica Serrato, Emily Cantu, Gabe Cantu, Paul Norris, Natalia Norris, Chloe Norris, great-grandchildren Matthew Gonzalez, Christopher Rosas and Charles Rosas.
He is also survived by his sisters, Susana (Ralph) Arevalo, Veronica Contreras, Julia (Tony) Padilla, brothers Jesse, Joe, Felipe (Annie), Gregorio (Guadalupe) and John (Hope). Additionally, several nieces and nephews survive him.
The funeral services will he held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16th, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1100 Main Street, Buda, TX. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 South IH 35.
