The fourth grade jump rope team from Carpenter Hill Elementary showed off their high energy, fast-paced skills during half-time at a recent Lehman Lobo junior varsity basketball game.
Later that evening, the fifth grade team performed for the crowd during the varsity game. The teams practice several times a week to perfect their routines. The club is headed up by physical education coaches Janice Mangrum and Terrie Castile. Jumping is performed to music and includes double-dutch, tricks and special configurations. Both teams have several more performances scheduled this spring. (Photo by Kim Hilsenbeck)
