Fire Chief Kyle Taylor, left, of the Kyle Fire Department/ESD 5, shaved his head on March 21 in honor of five-year-old Waylon Malone of San Marcos. He joined 65 others, including San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero, who had childhood cancer, along with city employees and firefighters, in raising money for the boy’s family. Waylon and his mom, Above, Buda Fire/EMS and Kyle Fire Department got buzzed a week later to support the fight against cancer.
