Glenda Ferrell Jones, 79, of Buda, passed away on Feb. 4, 2014 in Austin, TX.
She was born in Oklahoma City, OK on January 1, 1935 to Marie and Alvie Ferrell. She later moved with her family to Galveston, TX. There she attended schools in Galveston and graduated from Ball High School in 1954. During her career, she worked as a nurse in New Braunfels, Luling, Uvalde, Austin, San Marcos, College Station, and Texas City.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Don Ferrell, and two sons, Richard Douglas Jones, and Steven Lewis Jones. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Sloane of Buda, and grandchildren, Samantha Jones of New Braunfels, Hayden Sloane of Buda, and two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Ferrell of Texas City, and several cousins, nephews, and a niece.
A Memorial Service to honor her will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Buda United Methodist Church, 302 Elm Street, Buda, TX. The Rev. Nancy Day will be officiating.
