The Capital of Texas Police Motorcycle Chute Out, hosted by Travis County Sheriff’s Department, brought in hundreds of observers and thousands of dollars for charity over the weekend. Partnering law enforcement agencies from across Central Texas, including Kyle, Buda, San Marcos and Austin police departments, as well as the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, competed in or volunteered for the three-day event in the Cabela’s parking lot in Buda. Tiffany Curnut, mayor of Mountain City and an IT project manager for the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, organized the event, which raised more than $20,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and the Center for Child Protection.
