The lessons Camino Real Elementary Kinder students enjoyed on their very own ACE Day recently were as varied as they were fun. The acronym stands for Aerospace Connections in Education and this far-ranging curriculum is all tied to the Roadrunners’ continuing relationship with the Civil Air Patrol. Among the many activities the CRES kinder students enjoyed as they rotated among their teachers: Rocketing into Space, “A” is for Astronaut, Moon Rocks Activity, Look, Up in the Sky! Things that Fly, Straw Rockets, Orbiting Object paper plate, and Floating Space Food. In this photo, Laron Hawkins is the student manning the straw rocket. Looking on are Madeleine Thomas and Andrew Ureste Morales. (Photo by Jim Cullen)
