Gary Lee Huffaker died on March 18, 2014 in Kyle, Texas. He was born on Oct. 4, 1949 in Crane, TX. He attended high school in McCamey, TX, and received a BS degree from Angelo State University.
He successfully built and ran two businesses in Central Texas and in Houston, then moved to Austin and worked for the IRS.
Gary attended and loved Dripping Springs United Methodist Church. He also loved cooking on the grill, western movies, his truck, sports, gardening, and his beloved dog, Otter. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Hollis Huffaker. He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his mother, Evea, his sister Glenda Beth Hart, brother-in-law Ron Hart, his step-daughter, Dana Szabo, and numerous aunts, cousins and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Dripping Springs United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS Animal Rescue in Kyle, Texas.
