Gussie was truly an amazing and faithful woman. She was strong and courageous yet gentle and loving. She worked hard all her life, earlier years at Lamme’s candies then with the farm and raising her family; later in life with Graef Grocery and Hardware. She loved gardening, camping, and spending time with her family. Her favorite days included family dinners and playing dominoes. Although she said she did not like to cook, her family and friends will tell you she was the best cook ever. Many people throughout the years would just happen to show up to Gussie’s at lunchtime!
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2014, at Buda United Methodist Church Worship Center with Reverend Nancy Day officiating. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery with a reception following at the Church’s Fellowship Hall.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buda United Methodist Church.
