Texas State Concert Band
Texas State University will host its first concert band ensemble of the year on Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Evans Auditorium. The Texas State Concert Band meets in both the fall and spring semesters and consists of both music and non-music majors. The ensemble is conducted by band faculty, graduate students in the instrumental conducting program, and outstanding senior level music education students. The event is free and open to the public.
Texas Young Guns Baseball BBQ
Join the Texas Young Guns 11U select baseball team for some delicious slow-smoked beef brisket & sausage. The team is working to raise funds for the upcoming spring season and will offer BBQ plates at $8 each. Smoked meats will be served with homemade rice and beans, pickles, onions, and bread. The fundraiser will be on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
