Starlight-Star Spangled July 4th
The Starlight Symphony Orchestra will perform at the first Hays CISD Star Spangled July 4th Celebration. The event takes place beginning at 7 p.m. July 4 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center on the front lawn. Singer/songwriter Kem Watts kicks off the evening at 7 p.m.; then the Starlight Symphony Orchestra along with area choirs will present America’s favorite marches and patriotic music at 8 p.m. The city of Kyle fireworks display will be immediately following at 9:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Red, White and Buda Independence Celebration
Come out to the annual Red, White and Buda celebration on July 4 in historic downtown Buda. The Children’s Parade is free and no registration is required. Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. down Main Street to Buda City Park. Free children’s activities including a bounce house, water slide and magician will be available from 9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. at the park. The Buda Chamber of Commerce will be selling hot dogs. Come back later in the evening, because the Buda Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. in the City Park area.
