Darrel Scot Toepfer passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the age of 54 in a motorcycle accident. Darrel graduated from Hays High School in 1976.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Eunice, Louisiana. He is survived by his parents, Ernst Toepfer and Rose Marie Schmeltekopf Toepfer; his wife, Jennifer Bourgeois Toepfer; three sons, Adam Toepfer of New Iberia, John Toepfer of New Iberia, and Luke Toepfer of Eunice; one daughter, Sara Toepfer-Smith and husband Michael of Pineville; two brothers, Randal Toepfer and wife Claire of Eunice and Ernst Toepfer III and wife Monica of Corpus Christi, Texas.
