Man dies after stabbing at Kyle party

By ANDY SEVILLA

A 20-year-old man has died due to stabbing injuries sustained at a party over the weekend in the 100 block of Sunrise Drive in Kyle, authorities said Monday.

Ulises Garcia died shortly after being transported and admitted at Seton Medical Center in Kyle. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Monday that Garcia died due to his stabbing injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing call involving multiple victims at a “large party” on March 23.

A preliminary investigation revealed three stabbing victims had been transported to Seton Hospital in private vehicles by the time law enforcement arrived on the scene.

The identifications of the other two victims and witnesses are being withheld due to the ongoing investigation, police said Monday.

Results of an autopsy performed on Garcia are pending at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at (512) 393-7896 or Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477).

Tips and information may also be submitted electronically from the link on the Hays County Crime Stoppers website or by using the free “TipSubmit” application from a smart phone.

Authorities said callers will remain anonymous and any information leading to the arrest and indictment of a suspect(s) will be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.
