Boo-da Halloween
Head to downtown Buda on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 until 7 p.m. for the 12th annual Boo-Da Halloween. Bring the kids, your costume and enjoy a fun and safe Halloween celebration. Local businesses will have tricks and treats for visitors.
Carolyn Forché poetry reading at the Katherine Anne Porter Center
Carolyn Forché, the author of four poetry collections, will be reading at the Katherine Anne Porter Center Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. Her first collection, “Gathering The Tribes,” won the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award. Currently she is writing a memoir about her times in El Salvador, Lebanon, South Africa and France.
