Yuletide festivities in Buda

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with lights and decorations up all around and children hoping that Santa Claus will be coming to town. We have been told that Santa will make an appearance in old town Buda on First Thursday at Cimarron Rose. Stop by for a visit with the jolly man and perhaps have your photo made too. Also visit all the other shops and restaurants that will stay open late for the monthly First Thursday event that starts at 5 p.m. There will specials as well as entertainment and refreshments.

Budafest is this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7 in Buda. The two-day event will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday morning with a parade down Main Street, ending at City Park. There will be lots of craft booths set up on the greenbelt and parts of Main Street, carnival rides for the kids at City Park, food and drinks available on the south side of the library and great entertainment throughout the event. Do come join your friends and neighbors for fun times and do a little Christmas shopping at the booths and the local businesses in downtown Buda. Proceeds from the festival will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
