For many of us, there’s a lot of travelling involved with the holiday season. But never fear, the Buda Public Library is always an internet connection away! You can continue to check out books, audio books and magazines, wherever you are.
We have several different platforms that you can use to download digital items. To use any of them, go to our website at www.budalibrary.org. From there, select the “My Account” button, which will take you to our catalog. Once you’ve signed in with your card number and phone number or password, you’re ready to go on to any of our great online resources!
OverDrive holds our largest digital collection. You can download e-books, audio books, movies and music on OverDrive. This collection is a shared and contributed to by many Central Texas libraries, so there’s lots to choose from and libraries are frequently adding more things to check out.
Zinio is our digital magazine platform. You can download beautiful digital magazines that are page-by-page identical to the print version. These magazines look especially good on tablets. We have 35 subscriptions to choose from, including new additions “Cooks Illustrated,” “Better Homes and Gardens” and “HGTV Magazine.”
Another platform you can use to download audio books is called OneClickdigital. There are over 4,200 audio books available for download that are compatible with all Apple and Android phones and tablets and many other devices.
