Dear Santa,

Santa, we’re sure the enclosed letters this week will help you with your delivery of perfect gifts for local kids.

Let me just say that the staff of Barton Publications has been good this year. Please bless them with a little something extra.

What exactly, you ask?

They fight for free speech  for all; they shed light on governmental entities so residents don’t have to spend evenings sitting in meetings. Residents can just peruse our pages and know what is going on.

They write feature stories about local kids, businesses and sports. They go above and beyond what a lot of other media reporters do. Not only do they report and photograph, but they volunteer numerous hours – helping with school fundraisers, meals on wheels, helping out the elderly and more.

They make sure that the newspapers are delivered every week and, should a newspaper get lost in the mail, why, they drive the paper to the reader. That’s called caring.

Our designers have worked with businesses, coming up with logos for smaller clients, and creating beautifully designed ads for all.

Our proofers slog through columns and letters to the editors, stories and headlines. They help residents write letters and offer to correct them, when needed. They care and work late at night, trying to make sure there are no typos.

Our marketing reps really get to know their clients and help businesses choose what is best for their market. They get up early and stay late, working whenever businessowners have time. And the office staff is ready to make it easy for businesses to pay. They work with attorneys to make sure public notices are done correctly.

They do this with a cheery attitude.

They deserve something special.

They deserve our thanks.
