It seems only fair to begin with a couple words about the Buffalo Bills. Those words are two and zero.
Your Commissioner is duty-bound to report that the formerly (and soon to be again?) hapless Bills have opened the new season with a road win at Chicago and a home victory over Miami, fresh from its own upset over New England.
Ahhhh, it's great to have the NFL back -- even with the sleepless nights and hair loss it brings. Only seven teams, including the Bills, have opened the 2014 NFL season with unblemished records. Eight, if you count the Butler Eagle newspaper. That sheet has produced the grand prize winner in the POWER POINTS Football Contest in each of the two weeks. In Week 2, the winner was Sheri Davison, of Butler, who tallied 126 of the possible 136 points.
Next up is Week 3 where everybody gets another chance. Including Buffalo, which hosts San Diego, which knocked off Super Bowl champion Seattle on Sunday. Ahhh.
This week's local winner was Ron Lucini of Buda with 83 points. Congratulations Ron!
