Nancy Jo Jennings (Cox/Park), 74 of Buda Texas, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, after a long but courageous health battle.
She was born in Austin, Texas, on Feb.29, 1940, to the late Mary Ruth Park Brooks and Roy Cox.
Nancy is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Diane Morcombe, and her first love, Laton Eugene Morcombe, USAF Ret.
Nancy graduated McCallum High School in Austin and attended Mary Harden Baylor University.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Morcombe Peck and Jeffrey Bennett Peck of Dale, Texas; her beloved granddaughter and future grandson-in-law, Amanda Jo Morcombe and Jeffrey C. Davey of Kyle; her grandson, the sparkle in her eye, Cailer Jeffrey (CJ) Morcombe Peck of Kyle.
A celebration of her life was held at Harrell Funeral Home, Kyle Wednesday, July 30, 2014. at 6 p.m. A private family service will take place at Walnut Creek Cemetery in the following days.
Nancy was one of those women who was born to be a mother and grandmother. We could not have asked or dreamed of a better one! Our sun is a bit dimmer since you have gone. We love you always Mom.
