Lois Opal Sosebee 91 of Buda passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at West Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Austin.
She was born on August 27, 1923 in Edna, Texas to Lillie Mae Daniell Lenderman and Hobart McKinley Lenderman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Y. Sosebee of 57 years; and her brother, Forest Lenderman. Lois is survived by her son, Edward Craig Sosebee and wife Shirley; daughter, Bridget Belinda Draper and husband Carroll, all of Buda; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Lois retired from the Hays Consolidated School District as the Cafeteria Manager for 20 years. Lois was also a cafe owner in Buda and a wedding planner and caterer covering Austin and surrounding areas for many years. Also it should be mentioned that she served as a 4-H leader for over 20 years. She loved to cook as is earlier mentioned, sew and spent countless hours sewing for her kids and grandkids.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 2620 S. Congress. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Weed-Corley Chapel with burial service to follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca, Texas
