Concert 4 A Cause this Saturday at Central Texas Speedway
Concerts 4 A Cause is holding an event this weekend to benefit the Hays County Food Bank, which is celebrating its 30th Anniversary Bash. Enjoy live music, a silent auction, dunking booth and more. The Kyle Fire Department will be on site as well. Music by The Hot Texas Swing Band, Bruce Curtis Fallgren Band and the Blue Ruin Trio will put you in the mood for dancing. 9/11 Remembrance & Salute to the Kyle & Buda First Responders
Come join your neighbors in honoring the memory of those lost on 9/11 and to showcase our Kyle and Buda First Responders at the Hays County Pct. 2 building on 5458 FM 2770. Ruby Manen, a survivor of the 9/11 Pentagon attack, will be a keynote speaker. Fire trucks and police units will be on scene for the kids. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
CTMC Memorial Luncheon
CTMC Hospice Care will have its annual 9/11 Memorial Luncheon on Thursday at the San Marcos Activity Center located at 501 E. Hopkins Street. Doors open at 11, ceremony begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. Special guest speaker will be State of Texas Homeland Security and Department of Public Safety Deputy Director Robert “Duke” Bodisch.
