Two Hays CISD employees, Hays High School’s Donald Davis and Hays CISD PEP (Pregnant and Parenting) Program Coordinator Katie Campbell, are riding in the upcoming Austin Central Texas Tour de Cure bike ride to support research for the prevention and cure for diabetes. They will ride the 44-mile course this Saturday, Sept. 13, to raise money but also to promote the health benefits of an active lifestyle. Campbell’s donation request site read, “I’m not going to lie - it’s a challenging course for me with plenty of hills, especially the ones on the back half of the route. But I’m not wavering in my commitment to complete ALL 44 miles of this ride to raise money for Diabetes research.” To donate, click here.
