Christmas Bazaar


Find great holiday gifts and treats at Saturday, Nov. 29’s Christmas Bazaar at the Hays Performing Arts Center. The event is 11 a.m-4 p.m. and is free for children under 17, $2 entry for adults. 


Stuffing Stockings with Santa


Help support the Hays County Food Band with a non-perishable food donation, take a photo with Santa  and enjoy Christmas treats Saturday, Nov. 29 from 4 p.m.-6p.m. at the Kyle United Methodist Church (408 W. Lockhart St. in Kyle).


EmilyAnn Trail of Lights


The EmilyAnn Theatre and Garden will begin its annual Trail of Lights on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. The walking trail is free and open through Dec. 31, Sunday through Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6-10 p.m. 


Santa’s arrival and Kyle tree lighting


On Wednesday, Dec. 3, welcome Santa to town at City Square Park for the official Kyle kick-off to the holidays from 4:30-9 p.m. Santa will be available to take pictures (BYOcamera) and HCISD choirs will perform holiday songs. There will also be free activities for children and food vendors. Come out and help us ring in the holiday season.


Courthouse Lighting


The historic Hays County Courthouse will don its holiday décor and light up the Courthouse Square at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Residents are invited to join the ceremony, which will include refreshments courtesy of H-E-B, an opportunity for the youngsters to tell Santa their Christmas wishes and jolly singing from the Scheib Christmas Carolers. Santa will be available from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in the courthouse rotunda. The courthouse is located at 111 E. San Antonio St., San Marcos.


Sights & Sounds of Christmas


Dec. 3-6 enjoy the annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas festival at Plaza Park in San Marcos.The festival features a carnival, living Nativity, arts & crafts shopping, live music, Santa, plus thousands of lights on the banks of the San Marcos river. 


BudaFest


Head to downtown Buda Dec. 6 and 7 for the anual Budafest. Parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving takes place Saturday morning. Then enjoy two days of browsing the vendors for the perfect gift: crafts, jewelry, specialty foods, collectibles, antiques, clothes and more. There will also be live music and entertainment both days.
