Texas Democratic candidate for governor Wendy Davis stopped by the Buda City Park Tuesday afternoon to energize about 30 supporters gearing up to block-walk for her in the city.
“I am thrilled with the work the Hays County Democrats have done,” Davis told the Hays Free Press. “This is the second time they’ve invited me here to show their support for me. They’ve been working incredibly hard – talking on the phone and knocking on doors – and I wanted to come show my respect to this community for the work that they’ve done on my behalf.”
Shortly after the 30-minute speech and meet-and-greet at the park, Sen. Davis headed over to Cleveland’s on Main Street for a fundraiser.
