No-nonsense self defense seminar
Kyle United Methodist Church will host a free two hour self-defense seminar on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. in the Family Life Center, taught by “Ninjenni” Johnson. There is no cost for the class and no equipment is necessary. Come dressed comfortably and ready to move. The church is located at 408 W. Lockhart St. in Kyle
First Thursday in Buda
Downtown Buda will come alive after 5 on Thursday, Aug. 7 for First Thursday. Participating merchants stay open until 8 p.m. and many will have specials for the evening. Swing by shops, grab a glass of wine and view local artists’ work in the courtyard.
