Wimberley karate instructor charged in sexual assault of a child case

The owner of a karate studio in Wimberley was arrested Thursday and charged with the sexual assault of a child. 


According to a Hays County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) press release, Richard Dale Griffin, owner of Kim-Soo Karate in Wimberley, faces two counts of sexual assault of a child, both second degree felonies. According to the press release, the victim was a student of Griffin's for approximately two years. 


Griffin was arrested as part of an investigation by the HCSO, which was conducted in conjunction with the Comal County Sheriff's Office. On July 24, the HCSO received an incident report via a referral from the Texas Child Protective Services.
