Buda Bee quilt show and bazaar
Enjoy beautiful quilts, a big bake sale, quilt shop vendors, a silent auction and snacks at the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center’s bazaar. Free admission. Friday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Howl at the Moon
Howl at the Moon is presented by San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance, featuring guided hikes, kids crafts, s’mores, storytelling and music by HalleyAnna Finlay. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp. The event is Nov. 7 from 5:30- 8:00 p.m. at Spring Lake Preserve (West Laurel Street, San Marcos, Texas).
Family Fun Festival
Join the North Hays Baseball/Softball Board at the end of fall celebration on Nov. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy games, a bouncey house, hayrides, celebration cake, food and drinks, a fall photo booth and more. This is a free community event at 2880 Goforth Rd. in Kyle.
Finding their way home: Expressions of military service and the journey back
Come to the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Nov. 9 for military-inspired songs, poetry, prose and art presented by Central Texas Amvets Post 115. The art show begins at 1 p.m. with performances at 2 p.m. Free admission.
Family Movie Night
On Nov. 14, Lehman High School will host a family movie night in the school cafeteria. “The Lion King” will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will also be food and vendors. Donations of $1 or two cans of food are requested.
Concerts for a Cause: Movember at Milt’s
Kyle’s own Concerts for a Cause will hold its November concert and silent auction on Nov. 22 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Milt’s Pit BBQ in Kyle. Stage of Existence and The Last Callers will be performing. This month’s concert will benefit the Movember Foundation, an advocate for men’s health. Bring your own mustache or one will be provided.
