Fire Fest
Head to Buda on Aug. 29-30 for the 56th annual Fire Fest benefitting the Buda Fire and EMS. Friday’s Main Street Meltdown will be at Willie’s Joint, Tavern on Main and Cleveland’s. Saturday’s festivities will be at Willie’s Joint, Tavern on Main and Cleveland’s, along with the main stage on the greenbelt/gazebo area. There will also be a washer tournament and the ultimate firefighter challenge with a chance to win tickets to Musicfest in Colorado. Events will be FREE of charge until approximately 4 p.m. at which time the Main Concert area will require a paid admission. Col. Peter C. Woods: Country Doctor, Cavalry Officer, Public Servant
At the Sept. 8 meeting of the Uhland Board of Aldermen, the Hays County Historical Commission will provide a special screening of their documentary Col. Peter C. Woods: Country Doctor, Cavalry Officer, Public Servant. The screening is open to the public at the Uhland City Hall, 15 N. Old Spanish Trail at 5:30 p.m.
