Hays CISD previously announced it would discontinue bus service to Negley Elementary School for students living in the northwest portion of Plum Creek (at the intersection of FM 2770 and Kohler’s Krossing). According to spokesperson Tim Savoy, the decision to discontinue the service was because a proposed, new sidewalk would eliminate the hazardous route to school. However, that sidewalk is not completed. Therefore, students who live in this area will receive bus service to Negley Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year.
Parents can check bus assignments on the district's parent portal at: [ http://www.hayscisd.net/pss]. Savoy said representatives from the district transportation department will be available Thursday evening at back-to-school night to help with any questions.
