Christmas Arts and Crafts Bazaar
This Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., will be the 2nd annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Bazaar hosted by the Buda United Methodist Women’s Group. Handcrafted items along with a silent auction will be offered. A children’s “fish pond” for prizes, will be available for 25 cents. The event takes place at 302 Elm St. in Buda in the church fellowship hall. Quilted crafts, jewelry, jewelry boxes, wood crafted reindeers are just some of the many interesting items offered. All proceeds benefit programs serving women, children and youth.
Concerts for a Cause: Movember at Milt’s
Kyle’s own Concerts for a Cause will hold its November concert and silent auction on Nov. 22 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Milt’s Pit BBQ in Kyle. Stage of Existence and The Last Callers will be performing. This month’s concert will benefit the Movember Foundation, an advocate for men’s health. Bring your own mustache or one will be provided.
Stuffing stockings with Santa
Santa’s back! Help support the Hays County Food Bank. Donate any non-perishable food item, take a picture with Santa and enjoy free hot cocoa and Christmas treats. Open to the public Saturday, Nov. 29, 4-6 p.m. at Kyle United Methodist Church, 408 W. Lockhart St.
Take better photos with any camera
Learn how to take better photos using any camera without having to learn complicated photography techniques. Leave your camera set to automatic as you learn how to compose stunning photos and tame light. Any camera can be used for the class including camera phones. Cameras with flash are suggested. This class does not require registration and is for everyone 12 years and older. The class is every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Kyle Public Library through December 16.
Kyle Runners and Walkers Club
Free! Every Tuesday at 7 p.m., head to the parking lot for the medical building next to Seton Hospital. 1/3 mile light loop. Do however many laps you want and bring whatever you can keep up with – kids, strollers, dogs, etc. Contact Jennifer at 512-376-8089 for more information.
