Anna Lou Schneweis (1941-2014)

Anna Lou Schneweis, 72, was welcomed into Heaven on Nov. 11, 2014 from the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born to Elmer and Iona Greenfield on Dec. 12, 1941 in Hutchinson, Kansas and moved to Texas in 1976, only to return to Kansas in 2011. 


She was a woman of many hats; she worked as a medical aide, a daycare operator, and a business owner. She also helped run the Kyle Thrift Store for many years, and was a supervisor at several Goodwill Industries Stores in central Texas. Anna had a knack for arts and crafts including sewing and embroidery work.


In 1965, she married Leon Schneweis in Hutchinson, Kansas. He passed away in August of 1996 in Kyle, Texas. On Oct. 20, 2014, she married Donald Board, of Kansas. He survives.


Other survivors include a daughter, Johna; four grandchildren, Briana and Paige, as well as Christopher and Alisha Casey; and her only great-grandchild, Kisha, all of whom are from Texas, as well as a sister, Leona, of Kansas. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her daughter, Diana.
