Staff Report
Chris Summers, principal at Science Hall Elementary School, submitted his resignation to Hays CISD officials. Summers, who came to the district last year, accepted a position as a Director of Curriculum for West Oso ISD in the Corpus Christi area.
In a letter to staff, he wrote, “I’ve been a principal for 12 years now and I am excited about the opportunity to lead a district in the area of curriculum. It’s always bitter sweet when this type of opportunity presents itself because I’ve grown to love Hays CISD and will miss this area very much. I’ve enjoyed my time here at SHES, though it was very brief. I feel like we did some great things in the one year I was here and I know that the great work will continue into this next school year.”
