Movie at the Lake: The Lego Movie
The next Movie at the Lake is “The Lego Movie” on Friday, Aug. 15. “The Lego Movie” is the story of an ordinary Lego named Emmet (Chris Pratt) who is mistaken as being the Master Builder, the one who can save the universe. With the aid of an old mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a tough young lady named Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), and Batman (Will Arnett), Emmet will fight to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell) who is bent on destroying the universe by gluing it together. Movies begin 30 minutes after sunset and are shown at the amphitheater at Lake Kyle. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. Movies in the Park are at Lake Kyle (700 Lehman Rd).
Buda Farmers Market
The Buda Farmers Market meets on Main Street in Buda every Saturday from 9-noon and every Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. at Willie’s Joint. Free parking and restrooms available.
Art Squared Art Market
From 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Aug. 9, local artists will have a market on the Hays County Historic Courthouse lawn. Spend some time with live music and local wares. The event occurs the second Saturday of the month.
