Below is a press release from Hays County regarding the recent COVID-19 update.
Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – NOTE: due to a technical issue, this is an abbreviated report compared to our regular updates. The online COVID-19 dashboard will be updated as soon as reasonably possible.
Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports two COVID-related fatalities, a San Marcos man in his 50s and a San Marcos woman in her 80s. The department also reports 565 new lab-confirmed cases since Friday’s report along with 17 new hospitalizations and 11 new hospital discharges. There are no additional people considered recovered at this time.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 12,110. Hays County has had 608 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 42 people are currently hospitalized.
Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra reminds everyone that per the Governor’s Executive Order GA-32, new capacity restrictions are now in effect for Hays County.
