The Lehman Lady Lobos basketball team made the short drive across town looking to knock off cross-town rivals Hays Lady Rebels. While the game stayed relatively close throughout the first half, it was the Lady Rebels who ultimately ran away in the end, winning 72-45 at Bales Gym.
Hays jumped out to the early lead and never trailed in the game. The Lady Rebels got a pair of early three-pointers from both Karlie Schroeder and Gabriela Bosquez. Schroeder finished the night with a double-double, with 17 points. Bosquez scored all 12 of her points in the first half. Bosquez gave credit to the teams’ “ball movement.”
