COVID-19 hospitalization rates have stayed at and above 15% for seven days consecutively in Central Texas. This means restrictions will start to be rolled out in Texas.

This follows Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Orders GA-31 and GA-32. These restrictions include: stopping on-site bar services, businesses reducing maximum capacity to 50% and pausing elective surgeries.

The state has 22 regions split into trauma service areas and when a trauma service area reaches a 15% COVID-19 hospitalization rate for seven days, the executive orders kick in. Hays County is part of Trauma Service Area O.

Counties in Trauma Service Area O include: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, San Saba, Travis and Williamson.

These restrictions will be removed when COVID-19 hospitalizations sit below 15% for seven consecutive days.
