Hays High School Project Graduation yard sale
Stop by the Hays High Project Graduation yard sale from 7:30 a.m.-noon, March 23 in front of the Joe Graham Gym at the high school. All funds raised will benefit Project Graduation, an all-night event that prevents graduated seniors from driving drunk.
Take the Hays CISD customer service survey
Hays Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is conducting its second annual Customer Service Survey March 18-29 to hear what parents and the community members have to say about how well the district serves the community. Hays CISD leadership uses survey data when assessing the performance of individual campuses and the district overall. Customer concerns help shape planning for the upcoming school year. The district again hired the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to administer the survey as a third party to ensure confidentiality for all survey participants. TASB will send the electronic survey link to all parents who have an email address on file with the district. Parents with no email address on file will receive a paper survey through the U.S. Postal Service. A limited number of paper copies in both English and Spanish will also be available at each campus and central office. Community members who wish to participate may do so during the last two weeks of March; check the Hays CISD website for the survey link.
Hays CISD art exhibition displays students’ most impressive work
Students from across the district and throughout all grade levels will have their most impressive work on display at the annual student art exhibition. Viewing hours are from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Mar. 18-28 at the Old Kyle Library (across the street from Kyle Elementary). The official reception for families of students with art in the exhibition is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 21. That night, parents and families can create fun art projects, enjoy musical performances and see living statues. The art exhibition is free and open to the public during normal viewing hours.
Hays CISD school board meeting
The regular meeting of the Hays CISD Board of Trustees takes place at 5:30 p.m. March 25 at in the Lehman High School cafeteria.
Upcoming school closure
Hays CISD will be closed March 29, which is Good Friday. All campuses and the district office will be closed.
San Marcos CISD calls special board meeting
The Board of Trustees of the San Marcos CISD will hold a Special Called Meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 18 in the Board Room of the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District Central Office at 501 S. LBJ Drive, San Marcos.
