BUDA – The City of Buda will apply for the Texas Park and Wildlife Grant to improve the Garlic Creek Trail project.
The grant amount is $250,000 and the city has to match 25% of the funds, costing Buda $62,500. The funds will assist in making a wider trailĀ along with added safety improvements.
“This is a ‘shovel-ready’ project,” said Parks and Recreation director, Greg Olmer. “It would assist in completing a project currently in the Buda Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and it would assist citizens with connections between subdivisions and school access.”
This trail improvement would also help connect larger regional trails to improve connectivity, Olmer added.
