Chester T. Johnson passed away at the age of 93 on February 5, 2013. He was born on September 26, 1919, in Austin to Frank and Gertude Johnson. Chester was a veteran having honorably served his country in WWII. He was a perfectionist in all he did. After meeting his wife at a barn dance in 1945 they were married three months later on June 3rd and shared 67 years of married bliss.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Albert M. Johnson and Randolph D. Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Martha E. Johnson and nephews Robert Johnson, Rodger Johnson, Henry Johnson and Chuck Johnson and niece LaDon Mihleder and many dear friends.
Services were held Thursday, February 7th at Manchaca United Methodist Church follwed by graveside at Live Oak Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at The Marbridge Bridges for all their care and Hospice Austin as they administered to him in his final days.
