Ronnie James Handsel, Jr (1981-2013)

Ronnie James Handsel, Jr., 31, of Buda, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 7, 2013. Ronnie was born on May 27, 1981 in Austin to Ronnie Handsel, Sr., and Linda Handsel.

Ron, as he was known, graduated from Del Valle High School. He enjoyed fishing and sports. He also loved music and cooking. He was known mostly for being a caring person who loved making people smile. However, his most enduring quality was that of being a loving father to his two children. He loved his kids more than life itself.

Ron is survived by his beautiful princess daughter, Raleigh Shyann Handsel, and his handsome son, Ron Anthony Handsel, his mother, Linda Handsel, his stepfather, Tom Turner, his grandmother, Martha F. Redford, his grandfather, Wesley Handsel, Sr., and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ron is preceded in death by his grandfather, James E. Redford, his grandmother, Dorothy Handsel, his father, Ronnie Handsel, Sr., and his brother, James Handsel.

Ron was baptized at Onion Creek Baptist Church on August 19, 1993 and was a member of Southeast Baptist Church. We know he is with the Lord now, but will be missed more than words can say. For now, he will live in our hearts and memories until we see him again someday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Onion Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Southeast Baptist Church, Ron Handsel Memorial, 5020 Turnersville Rd., Creedmoor, TX 78610
