Tyler Thormahlen, 16, a member of the Lehman High School Wind Ensemble, performed with the Texas All-State Band on February 16 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Tyler, the son of Karen Parks of Kyle, was selected for the ensemble through a competitive process at the district, region and area levels across the state. He is a junior and plays the French horn under the direction of Lehman’s Joey Lucita. This was Tyler’s first time to perform as part of the Texas Music Educators Association.
