David L. Hart (1955-2013)

David L. Hart, of Kyle, Texas, was born on February 2, 1955 to Floyd and Malinda Hart. After a long, hard, battle, surrounded by his loving family at his daughter’s home, he was called home by our heavenly Father on February 25, 2013. David loved to BBQ and cook for others and especially liked a well done steak. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends. David was always willing to help anyone with his time, talents, and generosity. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Melody Meek; his three children, Tammy Torres and her husband Paul, David Hart Jr., Joshua Hart and wife Teresa Gonzales; 15 grandchildren, Paul Torres Jr. and Kayla Medellin, Jose Torres, Aaron Torres, Cassidy Torres, Gabriel Torres, Andrew Rodriguez, Joshua Hart Jr., Andrew Hart, Jakob Hart, Alexis Hart, Devin Hart, Brian Hart, David Hart Jr.; two great grandchildren, Gabriella Torres and Paul Torres III; brother, Steven Hart and sister, Carolyn Reid; 5 nieces and 8 nephews and many others who he considered family and loved as his own. David was a hard working, proud man, with a big heart who loved his family immensely as family is what was most important to him. He is greatly missed and forever loved by us all. Special thanks to Hospice Austin and an extra special thanks to his Nurse Jackie and Doctor Brian who provided him and our family with a tremendous amount of care and support. Visitation at 9 a.m. and Services at 10 a.m. by Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle, Texas on February 28, 2012. Burial will follow at the Kyle Cemetery. 2 Timothy 4:7.
