Gladys Marie (Mills) Rosenbaum (1929-2013)

Gladys Marie (Mills) Rosenbaum, 83, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on February 26, 2013. She was born in Hungerford, Wharton County, Texas, on May 3, 1929. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jarvis Rosenbaum, son Mark Rosenbaum, parents Emil and Lydia Mills, and sisters Mattie Penaloza and Lillia Mae Peters. She is lovingly survived by her daughter Lori Hardage and her husband John and grandchildren Kevin and Cassidy Hardage and numerous other relatives and wonderful friends who loved her very much.


Gladys and Jarvis lived in Richmond, TX until 2006 when they moved to Hays County to be near their daughter and family. After Jarvis’ passing, Gladys moved into Emeritus at Beckett Meadows in Austin where she made many very close friends. She was President of the Resident’s Council at Beckett Meadows and very active and always the “Bell of the Ball” and the life of the party until she fell ill. In February, Gladys moved into Legend Oaks Rehab and Healthcare in Kyle and was put in the loving care of Odyssey Hospice where she lived out the final weeks of her life. Funeral services are pending at this time. The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
