January brings several happenings at San Marcos Library:
Raise a Reader Story time
Friday, Jan. 4—The San Marcos Public Library offers children’s stories, songs, and fun. Ages 0 to 2 years are invited to attend at 10:15 a.m. Ages 3 to 6 years are invited to attend at 11:00 a.m.
Puppet Show
Tuesday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 11—The San Marcos Public Library puppeteers present The Three Billy Goats Gruff, a fun fable that is just right for children ages 2 and up. There will be three shows at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Free Computer Classes
Every Wednesday – The San Marcos Public Library offers free computer classes in Computer Basics, Internet Skills, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Call ahead to register.

Tickets are on sale now for Sesame Street Live “Can’t Stop Singing” coming to the Frank Erwin Center Feb. 14-17. Your favorite Sesame Street friends – Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Murray, Grover, Bert and Ernie and Cookie Monster – will bring the magic of music to life during the all-new show.
2013 Hays County Livestock Show
The Hays County Livestock Show takes place Jan. 12-26 with various events happening across the days. The Kick-Off Gala takes place from 7-10 p.m. Jan. 18.
