Mary Luz Reyna (Lucy) Guerrero of Manchaca born May 6, 1931 in Niederwald, went to be with the Lord Jesus on January 15, 2013. Lucy was a loving wife, a caring mother, a super grandmother, a great-grandmother and a fun cousin and aunt. She was an excellent seamstress and was very hospitable. She will be missed, but her legacy continues.
Lucy was preceded in death by her sister Esther Cermeno; her parents, Salvador Reyna Sr. and Consuelo Reyna; brothers, Rudy Reyna and Salvador Reyna Jr.; and her great-granddaughter, Kadence Guerrero.
Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gregorio N. Guerrero, and seven children; Mary Gladys Guerrero, Oscar and Betty Guerrero, Diana and Mike Barron, Yolanda Garrison, Orlando and Irma Guerrero, Hector and Annette Guerrero, Joe and Shelly Guerrero, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Angel Funeral Home on Saturday, January 19. Internment was at Onion Creek Memorial Park on Chapel Lane. The family thanks Austin Hospice and FC Home Health Agency for their compassionate care.
