Two funny females to provide laughs at Have a Heart for Hospice
Tickets are now on sale for the Have A Heart for Hospice Valentine Luncheon. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, located at 501 E. Hopkins St. Tickets cost $40, and proceeds will benefit CTMC Hospice Care.
Entertainment at the event will be provided by comedians Laura Bartlett and Emmy award-winner Linda Stogner, who are part of the popular Texas-based stand-up comedy tour Four Funny Females. Bartlett, who founded FFF, has been featured on many media outlets for her unique comedic style. The Dallas Morning News wrote that audiences “may not get her brand of humor until long after the fact … you’ll see them laughing out loud for no apparent reason.”
Stogner headlines Four Funny Females and chose comedy and filmmaking over a career in the medical field. Besides four Lone Star Emmy awards and one Emmy for her short documentary work, she has received more than 60 film and television awards including the prestigious Gold Hugo Award, four Gracie Awards and gold and silver medals from the New York festivals.
Additionally, the Have A Heart For Hospice Luncheon will feature a special tribute to all former CTMC Hospice advisory board members. CTMC in San Marcos will have a healthy cooking demonstration in their Community Classroom, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Feb. 6. Call (512) 753-3818 to register for the next demonstration. At this event, you will learn how to prepare heart-healthy dishes from the dietary and nutrition team.
